I am quite against drive-thru's as a rule. Except in cases where the service inside the take-away establishment has proven to be slower than a snail on more than one occasion. KFC Burwood is an example of this.
So I was dining in at Burwood McDonalds this evening. If you have never been to this Maccas, I suggest you don't, as it is quite possibly the worst Maccas in Victoria. True. The service I received was of average Burwood level, pretty shoddy. Anyway, I received my meal quicker than the order was taken, and it was quite nice. Was a little disappointed when I asked for some tomato sauce, as she looked quite confused, and then just gave me one packet. One! Come on guys, its always two minimum.
While I was waiting, my eyes wandered. To the drive-thru screen. At the top of the screen it said, under 3 mins, yay! Or something similarly gay. Anyway, I looked up to the clock that was counting above the drive-thru window. It was above 6 mins already. Fail. It was confirmation that my hatred of Burwood drive-thru is justified! After so many years!
So, as I ate my meal, I was constantly fascinated with the drive-thru clock. I saw so many time above 3 minutes, I was embarassed. The clock hit 8:30. Wow! Was there a breakdown in the drive-thru? No, just ridiclously slow service. When that time disappeared (as they finally recieved their meal), the next time to pop up was 6 mins. And then 7. Well done Burwood Maccas.
So take this as a warning to all, and pass it onto your friends.
Also, the last two times I have gone through drive-thru; I ordered 6 nuggets. Check your nuggets boxes kids, cos I was 1 nugget down on both occasions! Terrible.
